Extra Mayonnaise...

I am sorry but I feel the need to express my disappointment over KFC IT Park's service. I guess any hungry and rational person would agree with me that the burger below is not just visually unappealing but it is missing one element, "MAYONNAISE". I then asked for mayonnaise but the service crew told me upfront to pay Php 15.00. I told him to speak to his manager and demanded to get it for free but came back telling me that "Jupiter", that's the name of the manager, declined and still insisted that I pay. Not in my best mood, I started to ask for another crew, and the guard and showed them how my burger actually looked like.

Finger Lickin' Good, noh????

I was given my free mayonnaise, but I wasn't really in the mood anymore to finish my burger. BOOOO!!!!

Make Your Own Havaianas 2011 : Travel in Your Personalized Style : SM Cebu

The tradition of personalizing your own Havaianas Flip Flops is back with the theme "Travel in Your Personalized Style".

The flip flop event of the year recreated an airport atmosphere in the SM Cebu North Atrium. I appropriately call them Slipper Attendants dressed up and looking like FAs, they are there to assist you in personalizing your footwear. The entrance to the shop (where your tsinelas are assembled) resembled airport xray scanners and voice overs providing instructions on the process sounding like the airport departure calls . This year, the pins were symbolic of famous tourist destinations, Harajuku for Japan, the kalesa for the Philippines, the NY apple, and other places

And special thanks to Pao for creating my 2011 MYOH pair...

He seemed happy doing it for me and willingly followed when I told him “You look at them when you say, Hello There!!! “... PAK!

Just a caveat, I particular would like to promote the Harajuku pin; for the simple reason that a Php. 100 donation is made to Japan Tsunami victims for every pin purchased. Lovely, isn’t it?

My MYOH 2011 Travel Havaiianas...

Every pair comes in a Havaianas MYOH 2011 bag with a free bag tag.

The event is until Sunday, July 31, 2011. See you all the Havaianaticos!!!

In the Tradition of Havaianas...

It is Make Your Own Havaianas from July 28-31, 2011 at the North Atrium, SM City Cebu. I had the chance to check it today and will post pictures tomorrow. Get your pair now of your personalized Havaianas.

The Joke was on me...

I was having dinner with friends in one of the restaurants in the Banilad Town Center last night, when a friend who went out to withdraw left her phone on the table, tucked under the menu. I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to pull a prank and keep her phone and so I did. The dinner went on and my friend started looking for her phone, the usual recalling of where she left it and we pretended not to know. She then started to suspect if I hid it and I tried my best to put on a poker face and insisted I don’t  have it.

We were headed to the spa to get a massage when I realized l couldn’t find my phone anywhere. My blackberry with contacts I have transferred from my Iphone and some of them from my old phones from 5 years ago. Now I started to get a little worried. We searched my bags and my friend’s car and it wasn’t anywhere.

Before the dinner in BTC, we went to Piazza Elesia in Talamban and checked out Emerald Isle, it’s an Irish Bar and Restaurant and I was quite sure I put my phone on the table when I browsed through their menu. And so we called the spa to reschedule the massage 20 minutes later. My friends were teasing me as to what replacement phone I was going to get the next day. I pretended not to care so much, but I was secretly praying it was in the bar, and that no one took it.

Right after, we pulled over in the bar’s driveway, the waitress saw me and started to make some signs with her hand indicating “Cellphone”.  Yes, I left my phone and they kept it. I went in to pick it up, thanked everyone and headed back to BTC.

Talk about paralysis, yes that is what will happen to me if I didn’t find my phone. A big part of me would be lifeless and I couldn’t imagine losing that amount of information and worse breaking my connection to the world. Thank you to everyone in Emerald Isle Bar, they just opened on July 8, 2011. The place has very nice interiors and everyone is very pleasant. I haven’t tried their food but I am sure given the effort they made to the construction of the place, the food would have gone through the same process. Have a beer, the next time you are in the area, it is not everyday that we have places with very nice and honest staff. I couldn't find a picture of the place online, my blackberry by the way dead, and out of battery when I left it in the bar.

Today, I am going to create a back up for my contacts and I suggest you do the same. It’s just funny how the joke I pulled on my friend was on me, the whole time. Anah!!! Sorry nalang jud... ROFLMAO!!!

When it Rains....

Having rained for the last few days, I was left with no option but to find ways to enjoy myself indoor. This meant, no trips to the mall, skipping my dental appointment, and just finding ways to enjoy the weather. Here is a list of what I have been doing the past few rainy days which you may want to consider:

1. Watched my favorite episodes from Sex and the City online... and yes, I still enjoy the drama in the Upper East Side, I finally caught up with Gossip Girl Season Four. To those of you who have been following me in twitter, you probably have seen my tweets on my favorite guy from Brooklyn, Dan Humphrey.
2. Thanks to my dear friend, Trina Salavante, I am reading again... Just went through the first few pages and I can't wait to finish this book this weekend.
3. Yes, I remain loyal to them even during the rainy days. Enjoy their signature massages in the comfort of your bed.
4. Cooking. I got myself a copy of this month's Yummy Magazine and thanks to AJ Barco who sold me my new favorite appliance, an electric induction cooker, I can now cook my favorite recipes without worrying about a leaking LPG.
5. Slip into your favorite pajamas and cuddle with a loved one... that's my cue, someone is calling me to bed. Goodnight everyone!!! Enjoy the weekend! :)

2. Lip Balm - Cracked, Dry Lips... No, no...

3. Blackberry - sms, bbm, fb, twitter, mobile internet... how can one not fall in love with this fruit?
4. Watch - I feel naked without one...

It's funny how I had five things in mind this morning when i was thinking of my next post and now I could only write about four. Anyway, what's on your list???
